Councillor Greg Best

A Councillor since 1995.

Deputy Mayor in 1996-97 and 2001-02. Mayor in 2002-04

Councillor Best is committed to his civic role and his contribution as Mayor was recognised when he received an inaugural "Making a Difference" Community Award from WYCARE Inc in 2003. He chose not to re-nominate as Mayor in 2004 so that he could spend more time with his young family.

Councillor Best is passionate about preserving our Central Coast lifestyle and our environment, and has regularly challenged the State Government's population policies.

As a Councillor, he serves on the Wyong Shire Senior Citizens Council and the Central Coast Business Mentor Services Board.

He and his wife Maree operate a small family business, and, as a former Board member of Business Central Coast, he understands the importance of local employment.

Councillor Best is committed to a team effort at Council.
