Learning Centre’s 1st Birthday
The Central Coast Lifetime Learning Centre recently turned one. The facility, which hosts the Community and Road Education Scheme (CARES), has had approximately 3,000 people through its doors since it was opened on 21 August 2007.
Dedicated police officers who work at centre have taught the road safety program to more than 1,800 students from 54 schools.
The Centre is also used by community groups and organisations to hold meetings and workshops.
Council’s Road Safety Officer, Kirsty Taylor said it was great to see this unique facility being enjoyed by so many people.
