Councillor Lynne Webster
B Ward
Elected to the council in September 2008
Councillor Lynne
Webster is married with five adult
children and six grandchildren.
She is currently a Company Director for her locally
based family business at Tuggerah.
A former journalist, Lynne has lived on the Central
Coast for 22 years, where she took up employment with
the former Tuggerah Lakes Tourist Association developing
a keen interest in local events, especially those focussed
on ensuring a family friendly local community.
Lynne spent 15 years as Secretary of the Tuggerah
Lakes Mardi Gras Festival and was also Secretary
of the Wyong Shire Sister City Committee for several
years.
She has been Secretary/Treasurer/Public Officer of
The Entrance Town Centre Management Corporation Inc.
for the past eight years.
Lynne's objectives as a Councillor are to keep focus
on the roads, work towards the trialling of an artificial
(geotech sandbag) break wall in The Entrance Channel
and encourage an environment that is sustainable.
She is keen to talk to the local people and evaluate
their needs from Council.
Councillor Webster serves on the Wyong Shire Sister
City Committee; Australian Sister Cities Associations;
is an alternate delegate for the Central Coast Area
Assistance Scheme Regional and Local Ranking Committee;
is on the Central Coast Regional Organisation of Councils;
the Hand Break Turn - Central Coast Advisory Group;
The Entrance Town Centre Management Corporation Board
and is an alternate delegate for the Wyong Shire Traffic
Committee.
