These grants help groups which are working to benefit the wider community either socially, economically or environmentally.

Council recognises the costs involved for these groups, and offers the grants as a way of assisting them in carrying out their work.

A panel of Councillors reviews the funding applications to ensure the funds are distributed to those groups and projects that will be of most benefit to the residents of Wyong Shire.

The latest round is open and applications will be taken until the close of business on May 6 to lodge applications..

Sporting and Cultural Sponsorship

Council invites sponsorship applications from Central Coast residents who have been selected by a national, state or regional organisation to participate in a recognised sporting or cultural event.

The sponsorship is funded by the Central Coast Regional Organisation of Councils (CCROC) which comprises Wyong Shire and Gosford City Councils. Grants of up to $1,000 are available for individual sponsorships and up to $5,000 for team/group sponsorships.

In return for a sponsorship the two Councils require recipients to promote the Central Coast in the local, regional, interstate and international arenas.
