Population Profile
Wyong Shire’s Community Profile allows Council, residents, businesses, investors and students to get information about the community.
Who makes up our community?
Data from the Census helps identify who we are, what we do and how we live. By looking at trends from the past four Censuses we can also view the Shire’s changing social, economic and cultural profile.
The Community Profile enables Council, community groups, business, investors, students and interested residents to access information about our community.
The on line Community Profile has census information about the Shire and 25 smaller geographical areas within the shire that cover either a suburb or groupings of suburbs. These show significant diversity within the Shire.
This data is updated every five years as information is released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS). The Community Profile includes results from the 2006, 2001, 1996 and 1991 Censuses of Population and Housing.
This information helps with informed decision making for planning and service delivery. It can be easily used in planning documents, reports, presentations and funding applications. Online downloadable reports for small areas are also available.
The on line Community Atlas includes key social characteristics for Wyong Shire presented as interactive maps.
