Welcome to Wyong Shire's newest street!
Sustainability Street is a place
where residents carry out projects like waste reduction,
reconnecting
community relationships, enhancing local biodiversity,
and practising water and energy efficiency.
And, you can use this page to follow
their progress and share their successes. For example,

Why Sustainability Street?
The project is a community environmental
program underway in eight local government areas
within New South Wales.
Wyong Shire’s ‘Sustainability
Streets’ are
at East Budgewoi; the Gravity Youth Centre at Lake
Haven; and the Mannering Parkprimary school.
At East Budgewoi, the local Dunecare group is focusing
its ‘Sustainability Street’ on two stands
of broad leaf paper bark forest. A sign has been erected
to mark the area where Dunecare members are working
with Wyong Shire Council, residents and visitors to
enhance the fauna and flora and provide examples of
water and energy conservation.
Gravity Youth Centre is to become the site of a healing
garden, while the Mannering Park project will involve
a community garden.
