This document outlines whether the assets of an area are at risk of bush fire. NSW Rural Fire Service at work

The plan also establishes and prioritises how the risk can be reduced - and pinpoints who is  responsible.  See the plan at the bottom of this page.

Wyong Shire's plan was drawn up with the help of local residents who provided local knowledge and opinions about bush fire risk and important assets. A total of 36 meetings were held with various community groups.

The draft plan was placed on exhibition on 15 December 2009, for the statutory period of 42 days to allow further community comment and input. The initial exhibition received 14 comments which were reviewed and incorporated where appropriate. After an additional 42 days of exhibition, the plan was eventually approved in July 2011.
