REDES Program

The Regional Economic Development and Employment Strategy (REDES) looks at supporting the population growth and employment needs of the Central Coast of NSW.

Lead by Regional Development Australia Central Coast, and in partnership with Department of Industry and Investment, Premiers Department and Gosford City Council, Wyong Shire Council will be supporting this strategy.

The key actions to be rolled out over an eighteen month timeframes include;

  • Determining the environment and infrastructure required for the Central Coast
  • Assessing the protocols and processes for new businesses to the region
  • Marketing the region to attract businesses

Regional Development Australia Central Coast (RDACC) NSW

Regional Development Australia Central Coast (RDACC) NSW commenced operation on 1 July 2009, and is located at the University of Newcastle, Ourimbah Campus, in the Business Incubator.

Jointly funded by Federal and State government, RDACC is working to create successful and sustainable communities. In partnership with the private sector and the community, RDACC are focused on:

  • Supporting informed regional planning;
  • Consulting and engaging with stakeholders to identify and resolve critical issues;
  • Liaising with governments and local communities about the best, most appropriate programs and services to support regional development; and
  • Contributing to business growth and investment plans, environmental solutions and social inclusion strategies.
