Cultural Development grants

The next round of grants will be available in February 2012. As part of the Cultural Plan for Wyong Shire, Council provides $30,000 in funding grants each year to support innovative community arts and cultural projects run or auspiced by not-for-profit organisations.

Under Council’s Cultural Development Grants Program, funding will be considered for eligible projects in one or more of these areas:

  • Visual arts
  • Craft
  • Performing arts
  • Writing and literary arts
  • Cultural heritage
  • Cultural diversity
  • Film and electronic media
  • History
  • Community festivals and events that focus on one or more of these areas.

New collaborations, arts professional development and community engagement are given high priority. Annual programs and charity raising projects are not eligible for funding. The annual pool of funds is $30,000.

Grants for 2011/2012 are open and close on Friday 2 March 2012 at 4:30pm.
