Booking of Open Space

Wyong Shire Council welcomes festivals and similar events.

To hold an event you must submit an pdf format Event Application Form (567.17 KB).

You may also be required to submit an pdf format Electrical form.pdf (70.21 KB) and a doc format Special Events Bin Application Form.doc (79.00 KB).

If you want to serve food, take a look at the information for temporary food business and mobile food and submit the doc format Temporary Food Business Application.doc (118.00 KB).

Photo of Blue Lagoon ReserveAll applications must be submitted at least eight weeks before the event to avoid a late payment fee.

Reserve use

To use Council Reserves or get to Private Property through a Council Reserve a completed  doc format Reserve Access Booking Form (55.00 KB) must be received at least 10 working days before the requested date. If your request is approved a Building/Construction access bond will be payable.

Picnics, gatherings and wedding ceremonies

For using Council reserves for weddings, a completed doc format Special Occasion Open Space Booking Form (55.00 KB) must be received at least 10 working days before the requested date.  If your request is approved  the following fees apply:

  • usage charge of $200
  • Administration fee of $65.00

School use

A doc format School open space booking form (53.50 KB) is required for sportsgrounds bookings during school hours for school related activities.

For school bookings, it is the event organisers’ responsibility to arrange for adequate litter bins for the event. This includes emptying, removal and payment. Arrangements can be made with Council’s Waste Management section on (02) 4350 5163 and an doc format Special Events Bin Application Form.doc (79.00 KB) is required.

Filming or photography on Council’s Open Space areas requires completion of an doc format Application for Filiming and Photography on Council land.doc (127.50 KB) form.

Active Open Space Bookings

An application is required for sportsgrounds, netball courts, beaches and reserves for sporting activities including training, sports development.  It the booking is a one-off or occassional booking (not seasonal) an doc format Active Open Space Booking Form (52.50 KB) must be received at least 10 working days prior to the requested date.  If your booking is approved fees apply.
