Dead animals

If you find a dead animal on public land report it to Customer Contact on (02) 4350 5555 for it to be collected by our depot staff. If it’s a cat or dog that’s found, they are taken to a local vet or the Animal Care Facility to be scanned for a microchip. If identified, the owner will be notified.

Dead animals found along the Pacific Highway, F3 or the Motorlink should be reported to the RTA on 132 213.

It is the responsibility of the property owner or tenant to dispose of dead animals on private property. If the animal is a dog or cat it should be taken to a local vet or the Animal Care Facility by the resident to get the microchip verified so they can contact the pet owner.
