Bodyboarding
titles return
After a five year break, top level
bodyboarding has returned to the Central Coast.
A leg of the IBA Australasian Pro
Bodyboarding Tour was staged
near Norah Head, over four days from 26 March 2009.
About 250 of Australia's best riders
- including IBA rankings leader, Ryan Hardy of Western
Australia and the Central Coast's Dave Crawley - took
part in the event
at Soldier's Beach.
Wyong Shire Council is a sponsor
of the leg, drew crowds of onlookers
to the beach and the area.
The event, which coincided with
Youth Week, included competition for amateurs;
an
outdoor movie night and body boarding workshops.
