Government Week 2009
Wyong Shire Council is throwing open
its doors and inviting the public to see how
the organisation works.
As part of Local Government Week
- from August 3 - 8, the council will stage bus tours,
covering everything from capital works to water services,
community improvements and waste
management.

The
Local Government Week tours will start and end at the
council's Wyong administration centre.
Libraries celebrate golden anniversary
Wyong
Shire's library service will also mark its 50th birthday
during Local Government
Week.
Anniversary celebrations - including
talks on safe use of the Internet; online library resources
and tips for parents to help their children with school
assignments - will be held at libraries throughout
the week. See

Karinya marks 20 years
On the eve of Local Government Week, Toukley's Karinya
Care and Education Centre will also celebrate 20 years
of operation.
The centre will mark the achievement
by staging an open day on Sunday, August 2.
