Aboriginal Indigenous Day of Observance Committee (NAIDOC)
Week
NAIDOC Week will be celebrated
across Australia from July
6 - 13.
Like past years, numerous events
and activities will be held on the NSW Central Coast.
Background
NAIDOC Week is marked in both the Indigenous
community and in increasing numbers of government
agencies, schools, local councils and workplaces.

Communities across Australia come together to celebrate
the survival of Aboriginal peoples, the contribution
they have made to the nation; and the continuation
of Indigenous culture. This year's national theme is
'Advance Australia Fair?'
Local events
Highlights of local
celebrations will include annual Community Awards;
a inaugural NAIDOC
Week Ball; flag raising and a community gathering.
