Wyong Shire has 37kms of ocean shoreline. The Shire's beaches provide a resource for swimming, surfing, boating and other water based activities attracting residents and holiday makers.
Wyong Shire Council Lifeguard Service patrols the Shire's six main beaches:
- Lakes
- Soldiers
- North Entrance
- The Entrance
- Towoon Bay
- Shelly Beach
The beaches are patrolled for seven months of the year between the end of September and 25 April. Excluding weekends and public holidays when the Shires beaches are patrolled by Surf Life Saving volunteers.
A contract service is also provided at Frazer Beach in Lake Munmorah State Recreation Area (Christmas, Easter and April School Hols)
Hours of patrol:
- 8.30am - 5pm
- 8.30am - 6pm (Christmas holidays)
For your own safety always swim between the red and yellow flags.
