Council finances

Your rates contribute to Council service delivery

Your rates help fund a diverse range of services - from libraries to garbage collection and recycling, roads, parks and playgrounds. To find a service you are interested in, simply type in the subject in the search tool on the homepage of our website and it will take you straight there.

Rate notices are sent to all property owners on the Central Coast, with rates and annual charges contributing around 60% of our total revenue, with the remainder coming from user fees and charges, as well as other operating revenues, grants and contributions.

Council adopted its first ever Central Coast Council Operational Plan and budget set to deliver over $540 million in essential services and $183 million on infrastructure for its growing community.

Take a look at our rates web page for more information about how to pay your rates, pensioner rebates and how to apply for hardship assistance.
