Take a look at the Wyong Shire Heritage Strategy 2014-17 (1.95 MB) for information on the actions that we will undertake to guide heritage management in the Shire.
Local Heritage Assistance Fund
Applications are now open for funding of works to heritage items or properties within a Heritage Conservation Area in Wyong Shire. Project funding is generally offered on a $ for $ basis up to $2000 per project where the applicant must be able to at least provide a matching contribution. The level of funding for individual projects will be determined on a case by case basis and greater funds may be made available if circumstances warrant.
Projects that involve the repair, maintenance or reinstatement of missing items on heritage buildings are encouraged. This can include reinstatement of fences, verandahs, roof cladding and decorative details. Projects can include structural work through to final painting of projects.
Council is accepting applications now with all applications being considered. Closing date for applications is Friday, 2 December 2016. A further round of funding may be announced early in 2017 provided there are remaining funds.
Full details and project application forms are available below or by contacting Council’s Heritage Program & Projects Officer, Rebecca Cardy on 4325 8869 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
