Tidy Towns

Tidy Towns are all about motivating, advocating, supporting      TidyTowns_cobranded_large-(4).jpg
and celebrating a greener, sustainable NSW and are calling
on like-minded individuals to join in.

Tidy Towns Sustainable Communities is a true grass roots,
regional environmental and community improvement program
that includes both the built and natural environments.

Tidy Towns is an initiative of Keep Australia Beautiful (KAB), established in New South Wales in 1981, which was originally focussed on litter reduction and civic pride, but has recently shifted towards issues that address the environmental, social and economic sustainability of local communities.

Tidy Town groups began in Wyong Shire informally in 2000 and were formally established in 2006 with Mannering Park, San Remo and Summerland Point/Gwandalan leading the way. Today there are six groups with more than 100 volunteers who commit more than 5,500 hours every year to our community.

Volunteering:

Be part of a Tidy Towns group and devote some time to neatening up local spaces. Tidy Towns is a great way to gain new skills, keep fit, meet new people and while improving  your local community and environment.

Get involved by joining a group listed below, contacting Council's Tidy Town support officer on (02) 4350 1638 or filling in our Get Involved online registration form.

Wyong Shire Tidy Town groups undertake varying activities within our community including:
