Regional Performing Arts and Conference Centre
The Regional Performing Arts and Conference Centre (RPACC) will be a venue for local, regional and national standard performances and the development of talent – being a stand-out, iconic, regional facility.
The venue will service the whole Central Coast community, and will be a destination that people of all ages and abilities will visit to participate, watch and enjoy a range of cultural opportunities.
While it is an ongoing discussion with key stakeholders, key elements likely to be in the RPACC include:
- Multipurpose auditorium with seating for 1,000
- Studio with retractable seating for approximately 250 people
- Orchestra pit
- Fly tower
- Loading bay
- Café/bar, commercial kitchen
- Dressing rooms, meeting rooms, toilets, box office, administration office, loading docks and storage
The RPACC has been identified as a catalyst project and part of the Gosford CBD revitalisation.
Council is in the detailed design stage of the project. We have conducted workshops with stakeholders in the arts, culture and conferencing sectors to help inform technical specifications and ensure a successful RPACC.
Construction will commence in January 2019.
