Sport and Open Space
Wyong Shire Council supports a healthy and active community.
Council has 34 sporting complexes in the Shire which can cater for more than 20 different types of sport.
Council spends more than $3million a year maintaining these facilities for over 16,000 registered players and recreational users across the Shire. This includes:
- More than 60 individual playing fields
- 15 netball/basketball training courts
- One netball association complex (27 courts)
- 16 tennis courts
- Three bocce courts
- BMX facility
- 13 skate parks
- Seven fitness stations
There is also more than 110kms of shared pathway in the Shire where you can walk, run, ride or sk8 to maintain a healthy lifestyle
