Waste Education

Central Coast Council’s waste contractor Cleanaway runs the 1Coast Education Program. This program aims to help Central Coast residents fully understand their Waste & Recycling Service so we can reduce waste going to landfill, reduce contamination of recyclables and green waste and recycle as much as possible!

What type of information will I find on the 1Coast web site Education Page?

Visit the 1coast website Education Page for more information on recycling, waste, litter and environmental issues and a downloadable Recycling poster.

How to reduce your waste

Recycling, composting and worm farming are a few ways to reduce your household waste. Central Coast Council runs free Waste Wise Workshops to help people learn how to live more sustainably, including how best to manage food waste.

The Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water (DECCW) have started a food waste reduction campaign Love Food Hate Waste.
